I have a job, now what?

The last six years were spent in intense aerospace engineering education, a fairly healthy dose of fun and a low dose of travel and new things that I did outside my comfort zone.

I finally got my dream job and I start next week. In the meantime, I have come across a few websites and books that are amazing and have helped me a lot to think about wealth and life differently.

Here is the list:

1. MMM (Recent find, but I think I will be using it a lot more now) http://www.mrmoneymustache.com
2. Ramit Sethi (Author of I Will Teach You To Be Rich)
http://www.iwillteachyoutoberich.com/blog/
3. Lean Launchpad by Steve Blank
The course is available on udacity.com
4. Catholic Guy by Lino Rulli
He has helped with humanizing the faith and just doing the best I can and then letting God be God. His story has helped me a lot to realize that God has given me some talents and skills, and it will be a shame if I do not use them appropriately.
5. Catholic Stuff You Should Know Podcast.
They have very interesting topics and I do hope that their vocational journey would allow the podcast to come back to life!
5. AOM (Art of Manliness)
It gives a healthy dose of the right attitude and the right skills!
6. Beating The Street by Lynch
7. The Motley Fool Friday Podcasts and their articles

The gist is that I feel that I need to reduce my consumerism, and start providing value to people and adding value to the world. This blog will probably be a stepping stone in that direction. Maybe, I am doing this to just make myself feel good. Either way, hope someone gets some use out of it.

Moving forward, I will share some of the things that I think I do differently and maybe someone will be able to benefit from it.

Was it destiny or was it density?

Was it destiny or was it density?
(An Engineer’s Ode to Love that He cannot have)

How can I forget you?
I traced your folds with my two hands,
I cared for them and I did caress them when you needed it.
I looked at you, I stared at you
I wondered..how can anyone be so beautiful, so amazing?
You came with me to the terrace of our small little home.
I was the one who asked for it, and you agreed.
We both knew you had to leave me.
That was your destiny.

Oh, but what a flight you had.
Crossing the other six terraces you made your way..
Across the park, across the water tank.
I never saw you falling to the ground..maybe I never wanted to see that.
Oh my paper airplane, I still remember every moment of it.
And let me tell you, she was the best I have ever made yet.

Re-introduction

This is another attempt to blog.
First one was pretty awesome for a month, and then life took over.
Well, not really, my lazy bones just got a little bit too relaxed.

So, I will try my best to keep it up and going

Note to self: Lesser blogs but better ones this time :)

Oh, by the way, Microsoft should have declared vorticity as word by now.
